What is an unstitched suit? An unstitched suit comes as fabric — typically a top, bottom, and dupatta — that you get stitched to your exact measurements by a local tailor. You get the fit you want, the silhouette you love, and the freedom to make it truly yours.
What fabrics does Thaan India use? We work with everyday-friendly fabrics like cotton, cotton-silk, chanderi, and lawn — depending on the collection. Each product page mentions the exact fabric and care instructions.
Will the fabric shrink after washing? Our fabrics are pre-washed or pre-shrunk where possible. We always recommend a cold first wash. Any shrinkage details are noted on the product page.
How much fabric does one suit set include? A standard suit set includes:
- Top (kurta) fabric: 2.5 metres
- Bottom fabric: 2–2.5 metres
- Dupatta: 2–2.25 metres
How do I know what size to order? Since the fabric is unstitched, sizing doesn't apply the way it does for ready-to-wear. You get it stitched to your own measurements — so one set fits all body types. Just share the yardage details with your tailor and you're good to go.
Can I get stitching done through Thaan India? Currently we only sell unstitched fabric. We're working on stitching tie-ups — stay tuned! In the meantime, any neighbourhood tailor can stitch from our sets with ease.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and Cash on Delivery (COD). COD is available across most pin codes in India.
Is Cash on Delivery available? Yes — COD is available on most orders. You'll see availability confirmed at checkout based on your pin code.
